Vino Blanco Enate Gewürztraminer
White Wine Enate Gewürztraminer from Bodega Enate with D.O. Somontano. The Gewurztraminer grape variety from our own vineyards is used, which gives it differentiation and notes of flavor of honey and flowers.
Age: Joven
Winery: Bodegas Enate
Tasting note for White Wine Enate Gewürztraminer:
Bright yellow with golden sparkles.
It is an "explosive" wine on the nose: "Würz", in German, means "spice", and that is what we are dealing with at first, star anise, cinnamon, clove wrapped in tropical, floral notes (rose petals somewhat withered) and stone fruit.
It is sweet in the step but with a light texture, with a just acidity and with forcefulness in the step and long persistence.
Optimum service temperature: 8° C.
A pairing: Níscalos al ajillo.
Ingredients: 1/2 kg. of níscalos, a tip of ham, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 chilli pepper, extra virgin olive oil and salt.
Elaboration:
- Clean the ground níscalos very well.
- Heat in a pan four or five tablespoons of olive oil and add the filleted garlic and chilli pepper.
- Once golden we toss the níscalos in the pan, stir for a minute. Finally, add the diced ham and let it simmer for ten minutes.
To eat!
Enate is one of the emblematic wineries of a relatively young viticultural appellation, Somontano, in the province of Huesca and in the foothills of the Pyrenees. It has always been an area recognized for its qualities for the cultivation of the vine by the thermal gradient (differences in temperature between day and night and summer and winter) that it enjoys.
Enate owns 500 has. of own vineyard. It is worth noting the Gewürztraminer, a variety originally from Alsace, which has adapted to Somontano perfectly and Enate has managed to extract its potential. Enate's connection with contemporary art has become a differentiating element that identifies him within the world of wine. From its facilities, a work of architectural art itself, to its labels, knowing Enate is entering a world of respect for wine and art.
