Peculiarities of the preparation of Ron Miel Dominican Fiesta: Honey rum is a variety of rum made from cane liquor or molasses. It is known by this name because the final product incorporates a quantity of honey of superior to 25% of the total volume.
This honey rum is imported by Grupo Varma, in whose property the Marqués de Vargas, Pelayo de la Mata participates.
Tasting notes for Ron Miel Dominican Fiesta:
Deep amber color with mahogany sparkles.
Nose aromas of nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts) are mixed with intense notes of honey and vanilla.
The palate is soft at the entrance and in the step, with alcohol and sugar well balanced, warm finish with memories of caramel and beeswax in retronasal.
Uses in cocktails: Can be taken only in a glass of ice. Recommendation, Mojito Miel.
Ingredients: 120 ml. of honey rum, 120 ml. of soda or mineral water, 1 cup of crushed ice, 1 sprig of mint (10/12 leaves), 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
- Crush the mint leaves at the bottom of a wide and tall glass.
- Mix the lemon juice, rum and crushed ice in a mixing glass and add to the peppermint.
- Using a spoon, mix well. Add the soda or mineral water.
- Serve garnished with mint.
