Tasting note: The Viura is not a very expressive variety, but very elegant if well worked in vinification. This wine is pale yellow color with golden rim, very bright. On the nose, notes of ripe golden apple, notes of jasmine and Mediterranean forest appear. On the palate, it is frank, simple and friendly, a wine with pleasant acidity and easy to drink.
Optimum service temperature: 8°-10° C.
A pairing: Ensaladilla rusa.
Ingredients: 2-3 potatoes (450 gr.), 4 carrots, 2 eggs, 20 stuffed olives, 3 tablespoons of canned peas, 2 cans of tuna in oil (200 gr.), mayonnaise to taste, salt and parsley.
Elaboration:
- Put the peeled potatoes to cook over a low heat in a pan with cold water. Peel the carrots and add them. Leave to cook everything for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes of cooking, add the eggs, a tablespoon of salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Drain the water, let it all harden. Chop the potato, carrot and egg in small cubes. Cut the olives in half. Put everything in a dish and add the peas and the tuna crumbled.
- Add the mayonnaise and mix gently. Add salt and garnish with a sprig of parsley.
