Developer: William Grant & Sons
Alcoholic degree: 40°.
Peculiarities of the elaboration: The Glenfiddich distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown (Scotland) in the valley of the Robbie Dhu River, whose natural spring water is used to make its whiskeys. The first drop of Glendfiddich whiskey came out of distillery stills on Christmas Day 1887 and today is the most sold malt whiskey in the world. It is the only Scotch whiskey in Speyside or Highland that is distilled, matured and bottled in a single distillery.
The aging process of Glenfiddich 18 years is carried out in jerezana boots that have previously contained odorous wine and American oak barrels that contained bourbon.
Tasting notes for Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Whiskey:

Amber with mahogany sparkles, very clean and bright.

We find intense aroma of apple, spicy (cinnamon), and pungent notes of the odorous.

The entry is delicately sweet, and little by little, robust in the step, with a perfect balance between wood and malt. Long, soft and round finish.
Uses in cocktails: Hurricane Whiskey.
