Developer: William Grant & Sons
Alcoholic degree: 40°.
Peculiarities of the elaboration: The Glenfiddich distillery was founded in 1886 by William Grant in Dufftown (Scotland) in the valley of the Robbie Dhu River, whose natural spring water is used to make its whiskeys. The first drop of Glendfiddich whiskey came out of distillery stills on Christmas Day 1887 and today is the most sold malt whiskey in the world. It is the only Scotch whiskey in Speyside or Highland that is distilled, matured and bottled in a single distillery. It is matured in American oak barrels previously used for bourbon as well as in European barrels previously used for odorous Jerez wine, achieving a balanced flavor.
Tasting note for Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Whiskey:

The color is pale golden with amber sparkles.

It is fresh and elegant, appearing first the aromas of cereal and notes of white fruit such as pear, honey, candied fruit and soft wood on a mineral background and slight citrus memories.

The sweet nose notes become drier but the white fruit persists along with notes of wood and spices. It has a greasy texture and a spicy, fruity and floral finish.
Uses in cocktails: Irish coffee.
Ingredients: Whiskey, coffee, sugar, cream or milk cream.

- First add some sugar to the whiskey and heat it to the boil to make it more dense and avoid mixing with the coffee; then a double coffee is prepared.
