Red Wine La Capilla Merlot with D.O. Vino de la Tierra de Castilla. Made from Merlot grapes from vineyards over 40 years old, adapted to the soil and climate of the area, and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Type of wood and time of passage: 12 months in French oak barrels. 

Tasting notes Red Wine La Capilla Merlot: 

High robe, dark cherry red colour.

Very expressive on the nose, with a broad base of red fruits, redcurrants and plums, over which fine notes of honey, toast, spices and bitter chocolate can be perceived.

A very harmonious, tasty and full-bodied wine.

Optimum service temperature: 16-18° C.

A pairing: Grilled meat for 4 people.

Ingredients: 800 grams of veal or beef fillets, salt, pepper, 2 cloves of garlic, extra virgin olive oil, 3 sprigs of rosemary, 100 ml of beer.

Elaboration:

- If the fillets are thick or slightly thick, wrap the meat in cling film. Then pound it with a pestle and mortar or a meat hammer.

- In a zip-type freezer bag, add the meat and the marinade ingredients.

- Leave to stand at room temperature for 20 minutes to half an hour.

- Ten minutes before the end of the resting time, turn on the grill or griddle, over low heat.

- Cook the steaks on the grill, there is no need to add oil as they are already impregnated with the seasoning, but you can add half a teaspoon of oil if you like.

- Leave the meat for the recommended time according to your preferences, do not prick the meat to turn it over, use a spatula.

- Once cooked, let it rest for about five minutes before serving, it will be tastier.
