Vino Tinto Red Vina Maris
Red wine Red Vina Maris with D.O. Jumilla. Made with Syrah, Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo grapes. The peculiarity of this wine is that two cages with 1,600 sealed bottles were submerged at a depth of 40 metres off the Mediterranean coast. There are four factors that make the seabed a perfect place to experience the ageing and preservation of wine: a higher pressure, a constant temperature of 14 degrees, the virtual absence of light and the gentle and rhythmic movement of the sea currents.
Age: Crianza.
Winery: Bodegas Carchelo.
Type of wood and time of passage: 16 months in French oak barrels.

Very lively wine with garnet and chinese ink notes.

Impressive subtlety and elegance, delicacy and complexity. Notes of ripe fruit and floral notes blend with characters acquired by its malolactic fermentation and long ageing. Thanks to its underwater ageing for a year at a depth of over 40 metres, it has acquired, in addition to a spicy background with creamy and balsamic notes, a mineral and reminiscent finish.

The underwater ageing has concentrated its elegance, with polished tannins of ripe fruit and at the same time has maintained its refreshing notes, increasing the sensation of fruity and varietal power.

Pairing: Great with red meat, game, duck, rabbit, grilled oily fish, etc. Spicy spoon dishes such as bean stew, stews, rice dishes.
Many years before Robert Parker spoke of Jumilla as one of the most promising wine regions in the country, even before the wines from the area began to stand out in our oenological firmament as the champions of value for money, this winery was already triumphing with its red wines from the Sierra del Carche. The new Jumilla was invented in this house.
